Homeopathy or herbs to increase milk supply?
December 14th, 2009 | by Vitamin Advisor |Susan R asked:
My son is 7 weeks old and my milk supply is already going down. Does anybody know of any homeopathy remedies or herbs I can take to help increase my milk supply? Any other natural remedies would be welcome as well.

Some Homeopathica That could help you are:
Sabal serrulatum in a D3 Potential 1-2 Tab. 3 Times/Day
Asa foetida in a D4 Potential 5 Globuli 3 Times/Day
Urtica Urens in a D6 Potential 1-2 Tab. 3 Times/Day
These are well proved Homeopathica for your Problem.

I have used Breastea while breastfeeding both of my children, and I’ve had great results with it.
Naturally, I have low milk supply. Without Breastea, I pump about an ounce. This is using a hospital grade ****** pump and dual pumping.
Using Breastea, I get between 4 to 5 ounces per pumping.
So if you are looking to increase your milk supply, it’s worth a try. Before using Breastea, I tried fenugreek capsules by themself. I know that many moms get an increase in milk supply from using just fenugreek, but for me personally it didn’t do anything.
Try using different things until you find something that works for you. Just make sure you give it time to work before giving up on it.
Hang in there!

One high-quality, 16 ounces of beer per night will
increase your milk supply. Get the beer without all the
additives and flavorings.

Dark beer is the most fun advice so far, and works well. Homeopathic remedies to try: Calcarea Carbonica (30C), few pills under the tongue twice daily for 3 days. Urtica Urens is stinging nettle, it can be used homeopathically in low potency (3C, or 6C, or 12C), or in herbal tincture (5-10 drops in water 3 or 4 times daily) or as a tea brewed from dried leaves, readily available at health food stores (several cups daily). Alfalfa tincture can also be very helpful and nourishing. Sprinkle Lecithin granules on your food, drink loads of water, get a lot of rest, put baby to the ****** very often. Good luck!
