Can you freeze fresh herbs so they are still fresh next week?

Fresh herbs taste much better than dried and I usually let what I don’t use from the fresh container go to waste. Can they be frozen instead?

hi - i freeze herbs but i have to kind of puree them first with a bit of water, - pop them into ice cube trays, you can then just take out a block as you need it.
If you just put the herbs straight in the freezer, things like basil can’t take it!

Yes. I freeze them in freezer bags. I grow my own and then freeze them and use them into the winter months. they stay fresh for up to 6 months for me.
dill weed, cilantro, basil, rosemary—just some I have frozen.

I basically do the same as above, but less work. I just put the herbs in an ice cube tray and add water. Later I can just drop the ice cube in my soup or dish that I’m making.

Yes , I freeze all kinds of herbs. I pick off the leaves, put in clingfilm then in foil. They go soft when defrost, but flavour is right there.
