Can you plant different herbs in the same pot?

I was told that you cant plant more than one type of herb in a single pot because the flavors will blend. Is this true? Do all spices/herbs need their own pots?

As long as the water and sun requirements are the same for each plant, I can’t see why you shouldn’t put 2 different herbs in one pot

Absolutely!! They sell them that way in most Garden Centres. It’s called an herb garden. I have one every year and each herb keeps it’s own taste and smell..

Plants in Nature are all mixed up and their flavors are still clear and distinct, there is a fellow there talking about a whole ‘garden in a pot’ Nothing to fear, go ahead!

You certainly can plant more than 1 kind in a pot.

You can plant any kind you want together, remember to leave some room for growth otherwise they will get over crowded causing the plants to get tall and spindly. I’ve been planting herbs in containers for a long time.
