That is what happened with all 3 of my children. Right now none of them are on any vitamins because they eat a well balanced diet every day. They are 6, 4, and 9 months old.

Well, you can buy water that has fluoride in it… and use that with the formula (it is in the bottled water section, sold in gallons with a baby on the front of the jug). Usually you don’t give vitamins until they are about 2 or when the doctor recommends.

I think your doctor is right. My doctor told me to start my daughter on vitamins when she switched from formula to cow’s milk (at a year of age).

My kids never got extra vitamins until they were old enough for the chewable Flintstones at about 2+. They were both premies at 33 weeks and ended up catching up well before their first 6 months with their peers. No major illnesses or anything so I don’t think they were lacking vitamins at all.
Formula has alot of vitamins in it as well as baby food on the market nowadays. Obviously the types of foods you will begin to choose for her to eat will give her the vitamins she needs. Balance her diet with the right amounts of fruits, veggies and meats and you should be fine unless she is a picky eater.
Good luck. **** to say it, but those baby vitamin drops smell and taste horrible, so whoever can improve that will probably be a millionaire someday!

i haven’t had my daughter on vitamins yet…she is 22 months.
I used the baby water with flouride in it to make her formula.
When she isn’t eating very well due to teething I make sure she drinks a Nutri-pals pediasure drink to give her some extra nutrients.

I didn’t give either of my children vitamins. They didn’t need them. If they doctor didn’t recommend them, they she is fine.

my son just turned 2 on Sept 19Th and the doctor put him on liquid vitamins and 8 ounces of pedisure a day…and the reason that he is on those 2 things are because he is a very picky eater when we started him on solid foods…he eats a lot of pasta but we are still working on him to eat whole vegetables and fruits..but your baby is getting enough vitamins from the formula and they sell what is called nursery water…mix that with the powdered formula and that will be fine..and i did that with my son and his teeth are very strong and white..so that’s all your baby needs for now…good luck mom
