I am set to give birth on Dec 1. I have heard women say that they have continued to take prenatal vitamins after they have their child. What are the benefits?

They only reason why I’ve heard people keep taking them was for moms the breastfeed.

Yes! The benefit will be to you after as the baby will eat up all your extra nutrients.

    Hi,
I heard that taking prenatels (even when you are NOT pregnant) will grown your nails and hair and make you healthier.
I have heard this from many people.

Yes, you still need to take them, because they have iron in them, and when you deliver, you will lose a good amount of blood, then that will make your iron level drop, so the prenatals will help with that. Also it will give the baby the vitamins it needs if you brestfeed. But I will still take them for atleast a month or 2 until you recover from the delivery

It keeps giving you some of the vitamins and nutrients that you give to your baby while pregnant and breastfeeding.

Carrying and delivering a baby takes Everything out of you even if you choose not to breastfeed taking the vitamins will benefit you because it will help restore your body from the drain your baby took. If you do not ****** feed you should not have to take the vitamins long Just a month or so to regain your good health. Plus with a new born you will need all the help you can get. You could feel very drained.

they are a good idea to take anyway what with the way people eat and take care of themselves… a few things i have noticed with myself and others who had stopped taking them is nails become kinda brittle, hair starts thinning out and it will be everywhere ~i hated it~ and you will more than likely be more tired ~usually due to iron deficiency~ keep taken em, what could it hurt??

Ive always heard that people take them after pregnancy so that your hair and nails grow longer faster and I tried it and it really does work….

If you are breastfeeding it is almost necessary. Vitamins are awesome!
They help you because the baby and the birth take so much from you.
If you are not nursing, i recommend you take them 1 to 3 months after the birth.
