I have just started to workout and was wondering if protein drinks are that vital to get results. Can I still get good results without them?

it would take longer depending on how much protein you eat and how much exercise you do

For most people it’s not really necessary, just more a matter of convenience. It goes without saying we all need a certain amount of protein in the diet, and those who are active need even more. That being said, most of our proteins should come from lean whole food sources like skinless chicken breast, lean beef, fish, soy, etc.. Protein drinks should only supplement the diet.
Good results come from a combination of good adequate nutrition that is programmed to the activity level and/or exercise routine. You can certainly get good results without supps; in fact, most people rely too heavily on supps when in reality supplements only consist of maybe 10% of the overall routine, 80% is diet and the other 10% exercise.
