When I told my doc that I wanted to start trying, they put me on prenatal vitamins right then, so I’d be on them when I got pregnant. Talk to your Doc they’ll give you the best ones for you :)

Just give your doctor’s office a call when you’re ready to start trying and they’ll prescribe you some prenatal vitamins :) Good luck!

If you are TTC I would recommend taking them now if you want. You can buy prenatals at a pharmacy or if you call your Dr he/she can prescribe them for you. Good Luck!

My doc recommends the Target brand prenatal vitamins. Also, start taking them one month before you go off birth control.

You are supposed to start on a prenatal vitamin 3 months before conception. The most important ingredient is Folic Acid. Make sure the multi-vitamin has at least 0.4mg of folic acid. You can purchase Materna, which has ben used for years, over the counter at any drug store (Shoppers, Walmart, Zellers, etc) Good Luck!

My doctor put me on prenatal vitamins as soon as we decided we were ready to start trying to conceive. The extra folic acid is important to have in your system for the upcoming baby, plus the stronger hair nails from them is great!

It’s a good idea for women to take a multivitamin anyway. Start taking a good one now, and if you don’t have any, then buy the prenatal vitamins, they have them in most stores that sell a multi. The sooner, the better. Folic acid takes time to build up in your system.

Now. They wont hurt you, plus they will help your body build up all it’s needed nutrients so that you are less likely to be anemic. I am 16 weeks pregnant and use One Source Pre-Natal.

When you first start trying for a child, you should take pre-natal vitamins. They will give your body proper nutrients for yourself and your baby. When I went to the Dr.’s a month ago to start my Clomid and Metformin, because my husband and I have been trying to conceive for over a year, the Dr. told me to start taking pre-natal vitamins right away. Anyway, hope I could help!
