At what age did you start giving your baby vitamins?

My one-year old was breastfed until very recently, so I didn’t worry about supplemental vitamins. But, even though her solid foods diet is rich in fruits, veggies, and grains, I still feel like she probably would benefit from taking vitamins. Do most people start vitamins around 1 year?

You shouldn’t start vitamins till around 2 years. I don’t think that your baby will have a problem with not getting enough vitamins because now she will be getting more vitamins from her food.

My son is 3 and he’s never had vitamins. After ****** milk, he had the toddler formula which contains vitamins and he was also eating well. Now, he’s 3 and eats reasonably well - little vegies but loves the fruit - and only drinks milk, or water with the occasional treat of an orange juice when we are in town.

I started my son on chewables just before his second birthday. I know that they say 2 but he is bigger for his age and so I don’t think there is anything wrong with it. I just buy the gummy kind at costco. It seems to work, my husband (the only one who spends a lot of time in groups) just a cold and neither of the kids have gotten it yet

My son started when he was off of formula (he was on toddler formula so he didn’t need a supplement)

If you feel your baby needs vitamins, then purchase some. The liquid kind is best for a youngster.
